Impact of Transformational leadership on Project Success: Mediating role of Team-Building and Moderating Role of Human Resource Management Practices

Abstract

Purpose: This study was conducted to empirically examine the relationship between
the transformational leadership and project success with mediating role of team
building and moderating effect of HRM Practices.
Methodology/Design: 184 responses from top and middle management employees of
project based public and private organizations available in Rawalpindi/Islamabad were
collected and analysis was performed. Structure Equation Modelling was used to test
the relationship between the variables.
Findings: On the basis of facts and figures derived from the received responses, it was
evident that a significant model was developed. The results were generally supportive
to the developed hypotheses.
Implication: Another prime objective of this research was to test the concept in
Pakistani context with a perspective that may be this research work contributes for the
performance improvement of project-based departments/organizations.
